Solar Systems: Stepping Our Game Up

Here at Vanlife Customs we've been working on offering our customers the best in current solar technology at a cost effective price point.  This has led us to explore new options and manufacturers to redesign our solar systems.  In addition to adding Battleborn lithium batteries, and Renogy solar panels, we've also decided to invite Victron Energy and Aims Power to the party.  Not only do these new components offer more features and versatility, they are more cost effective than our previous systems.

While in search of the perfect solar controller, we found Victron's SmartSolar MPPT smart controllers to be an effective solution.  On top of providing the expected functions, Victron's controllers offer a Smart model which includes Bluetooth capability in conjunction with the Victron app (yes, you can see battery and controller status on your phone now)!  For a full breakdown of this product - please click here.

Next on the list of upgrades was an inverter to keep up with the ever growing demands of life on the road.  In the past an inverter had to be coupled separately with a charger and transfer switch.  Thankfully, Aims Power has come to the rescue with their line of Pure Sine Inverters that have a build in 70A charger and 30A transfer switch.  Not only does this save space and weight, but it performs exceptionally well at a great price point.  For more information on this product - please click here

Lastly, we've also upgraded to a sleeker/tougher looking solar panel from Renogy.  They recently released the Eclipse 100W Monocrystalline panel that not only performs well, but looks plain wicked once mounted.  Weighing in at a mere 15lbs and offering a 6" shorter footprint, this is Renogy's most space effective panel that we offer at a great price.  Not only does this panel perform well and save space, its also surrounded by a their new black aluminum frame.  For more info on this product - please click here.
